Vem aí o MIGS 2021, com a necessidade de reunirmos em um único local grandes nomes da Cirurgia Minimamente Invasiva, com o intuito de trazer inovação, alta tecnologia, experiência prática e discussão sobre os temas mais relevantes do momento em endometriose e uroginecologia.
Dentre os grandes diferenciais, teremos os melhores cirurgiões da especialidade conosco, com atividades de cirurgia ao vivo, cursos de excelência, pré – congresso com abordagem das mais recentes tecnologias na área.
O MIGS 2021 será realizado nos dias 23, 24 e 25 de setembro de 2021, sendo dia 23 o pré-congresso em locais distintos e simultâneos e nos dias 24 e 25 o Congresso está sendo programado no formato híbrido.
OBJETIVO
O objetivo do Migs é aprimorar e implementar ações que resultem na Cirurgia minimamente invasiva.
O conhecimento e a troca de experiências são fundamentais para a rotina de toda uma equipe.
Espera-se que esse evento permita a discussão dos principais assuntos de interesse da área, facilite a disseminação de boas práticas baseadas em condutas adotadas em centros de excelência e propicie espaço para apresentação de novos conhecimentos.

Dr. Vidali specializes in complex reproductive surgeries, the principal focus of which is solution of pain with attention to fertility preservation and enhancement. These surgeries include endometriosis surgery, uterine septum resection and revision of cesarean section scar, myomectomy and complex hysteroscopic procedures. Dr. Vidali is a skilled robotic surgeons, being one of the few gynecologic surgeons in the United States who perform single-site surgery for endometriosis on the Da Vinci Robot. After completing his fellowship at Columbia University, Dr. Vidali embarked on a successful collaboration and partnership with one of his mentors and laparoscopic surgery pioneer Dr. Harry Reich. Dr. Vidali pioneered the introduction of laparoscopic myomectomy in infertility patients, helping to set a new standard of treatment for women with fibroids who desire fertility1. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Vidali has held leadership positions within Academics. He was the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, and held two Directorships at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in New York City where he was the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and the Director of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.

Dr Attilio Di Spiezio Sardo obtained his Medical Degree in 2000, Certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005 and PhD in Human Development, Reproduction and Growth in 2008. He has been member of the Teaching Faculty at Unit of Minimally Invasive Therapy & Endoscopy Training Centre while at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 2003. Winner in 2008 and 2015 of the Golden Hysteroscope Award for the best scientific paper submitted at the Annual Congress of American Association of Gynecological Endoscopy (AAGL)
Actually he is Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chief of the Hysteroscopy Unit at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy.
Author of more than 200 articles published in international peer-review journals, 1 book on hysteroscopy (translated in English and chinese), 20 book chapters and 1 educational DVD
He has been personally invited as speakers in more than 200 national and international meetings and he has actively organized 30 national and international courses and scientific meetings.
He is member of the Executive Board of the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE) since 2015 and has contributed to the development of the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) program within the ESGE. Actually is Director of the Training and Certification GESEA center of University Federico II of Naples.

A/Prof Alex Ades is an extensively trained and experienced surgeon. His main expertise is in minimally invasive procedures (laparoscopic and robotic surgery) for the treatment of benign gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts as well as pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence among others. A/Prof Ades is an expert on the treatment of cervical incompetence and is one of the most experienced surgeons in Australia and internationally on Laparoscopic Transabdominal Cerclage. He has been involved in public and private practice as well as academic tertiary education for more than 20 years. His formal qualifications include a Master and a PhD in Medicine. Dr Ades is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne – Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. He is the head of the Ambulatory Gynaecology Services unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital where he also works at the endometriosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery unit. He participates in the theoretical and practical training of future specialists in the RANZCOG training program. He has made a significant contribution to medical research with several studies published in international peer reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. Gargiulo is an internationally recognized pioneer in benign gynecologic robotic surgery with almost 2000 robotic surgeries completed since 2006.

Professor Felice Petraglia is currently President of the Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders (SEUD). He is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florence, and Chair of Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Department of Maternity and Infancy at the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, Italy. Francisco Carmona was born in Spain in 1959, where he graduated from the University of Barcelona Faculty of Medicine in 1982. He became a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Spain and obtained his doctoral degree in 1991. His main areas of interest are benign diseases including gynecologic surgery, endometriosis, pelvic floor pathology and genital transplantation. He performed the first single port hysterectomy in Spain and also the first uterine transplantation in Spain. He is member of the University of Barcelona’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as Professor from 2007 and the Chief of the Barcelona Hospital Clínic’s Gynecology Service. He is the Director of the Endometriosis Unit of such hospital. He published more than 150 papers in journals with peer review and Impact Factor (IF) including also generalist journals as N Engl J Med or Lancet; his total IF is almost 700 and the mean IF per paper is almost 5 (1st Gynecology’s quartile) with 33 as h index. He has published more than 50 papers in journals without IF (12 in international journals). He has published more than 65 book’s chapters (9 in international works) and 8 complete books. He is reviewer of almost 30 scientific journals including Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility and others. He is member of the Editorial Board of Gynecological Surgery and Medicina Clínica. He is Associated Editor Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain and Editor in Chief of Clínica e Investigación en Ginecología y Obstetricia. He is also a Professor of Gynaecology at the University of Porto in ICBAS (Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar). Pr. Ferreira is the Chairman of YEP-ESGE and Executive Board Member of European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE). He is President of the Portuguese Society of Minimally Invasive. Surgery. He is the holder of a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery, a Medical Education diploma. He works together with EBCOG (European Board&College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) to develop the European curriculum in gynaecology (PACT-EBCOG). He is the author of several original articles, book chapters, short communications and Websurg video publications. He lectures in national, regional and international scientific meetings/congresses and, performed live demonstrative surgeries in several countries. He has been invited lecturer in several organizations like IRCAD (Research Institute against Digestive Cancer), University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (South Africa), MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT) and Institute of Anatomy at the University of Tuebingen. Dr. Richter is The Endowed Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology & Geriatrics, past Division Director and current Research Director of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. She is the Medical and Quality Officer of the Ambulatory OB/GYN Clinics and Director of the Urogynecology Care and Genitorectal Disorders Clinics. She is Associate Director of Gynecologic Research for the Center for Women’s Reproductive Health and past President of the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons. She is currently President of the American Urogynecologic Society and serves as an Editor for the International Urogynecology Journal and Obstetrics & Gynecology. In 2019, Dr. Richter received the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons Distinguished Surgeon Award. She was the Principal Investigator of the NIDDK-sponsored Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network and is PI of the NICHD-sponsored Pelvic Floor Disorders Network since its inception in 2001. She oversees other NIH (R01, R03) and industry sponsored research. She was also the recipient of a 10 year mid-career award (K24, NIDDK) in patient oriented pelvic floor research and mentors many young investigators. She has over 350 publications, many in top journals such as JAMA and NEJM. Dr. Richter is the ACOG representative to the Section for Enhancing Geriatric Understanding and Expertise among Surgical and Medical Specialists (SEGUE) council of the American Geriatrics Society/Hartford Foundation. She has a strong interest in treating vesicovaginal fistulas and has visited Africa regularly for over 15 years.

Following graduation from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, Dr. Mourad matriculated at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and graduated in 2000. After completion, he joined a prestigious group in the Phoenix area where he practiced for 13 years and held a leadership position. Dr. Mourad is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Mourad is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, The American Osteopathic Association, The Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association, Phoenix Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, as well as The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He specializes in fibroids, endometriosis, heavy periods, cervical incompetence, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence, ectopic pregnancy, and polyps. It is his passion to provide his patients with the least invasive, yet with the most comprehensive care available. He has a specific interest in large fibroids, endometriosis and cervical insufficiency. For numerous years he has been recognized as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine. Over his career he has received various teaching awards including Resident Educator of the Year from the University of Arizona. Dr. Javier Pizarro-Berdichevsky is an Assistant Professor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Division, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and Urogynecologist at Dr. Sotero del Rio Hospital. Currently he is the Program director for the Urogynecology Fellowship, from the Pontificia Univesidad Catolica de Chile. He joined the Cleveland Clinic as a research scholar from 2012 to 2014, working on stem cells for prolapse. Then he did a Clinical fellowship in Female Urology at the same institution 2014-2016. Dr. Pizarro-Berdichevsky’s contributions to the scientific community includes more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals, more than 120 abstracts and more than 35 meeting presentations. His work includes reviving an old but highly successive colpocleisis technique, the validation of a Spanish QOL questionnaire, a prospective study for non-surgical management of prolapse, a survey to understand surgeons’ attitudes towards sling tensioning during surgery for female stress urinary incontinence, the description of the Natural History of pelvic organ Prolapse among others and functional head MRI study for a better understanding of the Brain activity in patient with a succesful InterStim theraphy for oaveractive bladder. He was appointed as a member of the IUGA Terminology and Standardization Committee, of the IUGA Education Committee – with special commission working on the e-learning subcommittee, and is member of the Editorial board of the International Urogynecology Journal. As part of this last role and as a member of the Terminology and Standardization Committee, he is also leading the spanish translation of several IUGA/ICS terminology reports. He is member of SODUP (Chilean Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Society) Board. Additionally, he is an Editorial Board member and Reviewer for the International Urogynecology Journal, Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal among other scientific journals.

He is currently the fellowship program director for the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellowship. He also is an Adjunct professor at the Dept. of OB/GYN and Reproductive Sciences of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, USA. Professor Guo is a member of Faculty 1000 in Medicine since 2007 and has published over 150 research papers in international journals. He has given lectures at numerous research institutions worldwide and at professional meetings. He is credited as being the first to propose and provide evidence that endometriosis is an epigenetic disease. He served as Associate Editor for Human Reproduction for two terms, and now is an Associate Editor for Reproductive Sciences, Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Disorders, and Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Therapy. Dr. Ted Lee is the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center at Magee Womens Hospital. He is the President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists as part of his 4-year term on the Executive Commitee of AAGL. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1992 and completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also matriculated to the Physician Leadership and Management Program at University of Pittsburgh, School of Business. He strongly believes in the use of surgical videos as an educational tool for advancing the art and science of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He was awarded multiple times for the best surgical video presentation by ACOG. He is the only five-time Golden Laparoscope Award winner for best surgical video at AAGL. Dr. Lee is a sought after lecturer and surgeon who has taught and performed live surgeries around the world. He was featured as one the three Master Surgeons in the Steel Surgeon Event at the 2014 AAGL World Congress. He is repeatedly nominated by his peers as the one of the “Best Doctors” in America since 2004. His devotion as a clinician-educator is evidenced by his successful mentorship of minimally invasive surgical fellows since 2001. His fellowship has placed the highest number of fellows in major academic institutions among all of the AAGL MIGS fellowship since its inception.
